Another exciting match was witnessed by the home crowd in this league fixture. The first half started a little scrappy with Hamsey relying on the strong wind in their backs and long kick from their keeper to put the Chislehurst Wanderers defence under pressure but they handled the aerial assort well and kept Hamsey at bay. As the half wore on Chislehurst started to take control of the midfield. Some good possession and passing created some good opportunities but the keeper saved them well to take Hamsey into the half time break at 0-0. In the second half Chislehurst had the majority of the play. The home side carved out almost 20 shots on goal but the Hamsey keeper pulled off one great save after another. Chislehurst did manage to go one up half way through the first half but within minutes Hamsey got a breakaway goal to level the score. One of their rare away sorties into the opposition half. Chislehurst continued to dominate but Hamsey kept their shape well and managed to hold on for a 1-1 draw. Most of the supporters on this game agreed the Hamsey keeper was the difference between Chislehurst winning and drawing today.
