Chislehurst travelled to the idyllic surroundings of Chipstead FC in Surrey for this league encounter.
The games started evenly with both teams vying for possession to take hold of the game. Chislehurst struck first with a beautiful tune and lay off on the edge of the box. A second goal shortly followed to make it 2-0. Chipstead came back to make it 2-1. A game of great quality was unfolding as Chislehurst finally found their passing game that had been missing for most of the season.
The second half saw only one change to the away team line up but quality goals involving 5 player passing moves extended Chislehursts lead. All subs were used and Chislhurst continue to play in the same manner using speed and quickness of passing to cut open the home defence. Chipstead fought on and earned a 2nd goal at 4-2 but the away team went on to win 7-2 by th etime the final whistle came.
A nice moment came after the match when the ref came over and congratulated Chislehurst on their attitude and sportsmanship and also their quality of play, "a pleasure to ref" was his parting comment.
" A pleaseure to watch" was the coaches response.
A sound base to work on now for the rest of the season.
